About us

A little Wigmore Hall in the village

Tom Jesty, Natalie Montakhab and Erlend Vestby with his cello

Tom Jesty, Natalie Montakhab and Erlend Vestby, our house ensemble.

Schubert's songs were never written for concert halls. They were written for drawing rooms, for friends gathered close with a glass in hand. We are putting classical music back where it began.

Little Concerts brings world-class musicians into our living room at Goodworth House, in Goodworth Clatford. You sit a few feet from the piano, close enough to see the bow move and hear the singer breathe.

We run lunchtime concerts, early-evening concerts and story-and-music concerts for children. Everyone is welcome: children, first-timers, and anyone who knows more about it than we do.

The series is run by soprano Natalie Montakhab, who trained at the Royal Academy of Music and with English National Opera, and went on to sing extensively with ENO and Welsh National Opera.
